EIB grants EUR 93.5 million to SMEs

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending a combined EUR 93.5 million for urban infrastructure projects and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bulgaria.
The bank provided a loan of €43.5 million to the municipality of Sofia for the urban road transport in the city and it also signed a €50 million facility with Eurobank EFG Bulgaria for SME funding.
In the last five years, since 2004, the EIB has provided loans in Bulgaria totalling some €1.8 billion including the current loans.
