The largest ever office lease transaction in Bulgaria
12 February 2009
Colliers International facilitated the largest ever office leasing transaction on the Bulgarian real-estate market. The major lease agreement was signed between BTC, the leading telecommunications operator in Bulgaria and European Trade Center. The office space that has been leased amounts to 23,000 m2, distributed over 16 floors. This includes the entire Building A of European Trade Center - the highest office building currently under construction in Bulgaria.
European Trade Center consists of five Class A office buildings with a TBA of 70,000 m2. The project is integrated with a 66,000 m2 (GLA) Carrefour-anchored shopping mall, providing multiple business services, conference facilities and ample recreational opportunities for future tenants. Colliers represents both projects exclusively.
“We are very pleased having facilitated the signing of the largest lease transaction on the Bulgarian office real estate market, while being able to meet the tenants' expectations for high quality office space. ETC provides a corporate environment of international standards that meets the needs of a company such as BTC”, commented Anton Slavchev, Manager, Offices & Business Parks in Colliers International, Bulgaria.
ETC is a project that offers a lot of key benefits; excellent location, high technical specifications and the combination of functionality, comfort and security. The complex will offer underground parking with 830 parking spaces, high quality communications system, high-speed elevators and building management systems. ETC is financed by Piraeus Bank.
“This transaction suggests that high quality projects will remain attractive and find their place on the market.” said Atanas Garov, Managing Director, Colliers International in Bulgaria.
