New regulations in property sector
24 October 2008
The Bulgarian property sector will face tougher regulations in order to meet European Standards within the next six months, according to Maya Staneva, executive director of the Bulgarian Institute for Standardisation.
Speaking at a national conference-discussion devoted to Bulgaria’s property division, Staneva said that Bulgaria, as a member country of the EU, would be mandated to comply with the European quality requirements, and lead to more qualified professionals in the industry.
Lachezar Iskrov, the Chairman of the National Real Estate Association, has warned that a number of Bulgarian estate agents could go bust in light of the global financial crisis.
