Some 7.3 million foreign tourists visited Bulgaria in 2007

According to a report by the Institute of Analyses and Assessment in Tourism, the number of foreign tourists who visited Bulgaria in 2007 equals the number of the country's entire population. About 7.3 million foreign tourists visited Bulgaria last year, with 2.58 million came for shopping or made a one-day trip.
Exactly 4.72 million were the foreign holidaymakers in Bulgaria for 2007, according to the international definition.
One-third of them - 1.62 million came here on winter or summer vacation.
The Bulgarian tourists were 5.9 million in 2007. The average vacation expenditure per capita was between 300 to 800 Lev. In 2007, the average price of vacation in Bulgaria was 514.50 Lev.
