Tender for EUR 2 billion city complex in downtown Sofia

Bulgaria launched an international tender for the construction of a new city complex in downtown Sofia, government officials said. The city complex project is estimated to cost EUR 2 billion.
The multifunction complex will be located at the so-called 4th kilometre of the Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd on a plot presently occupied by army barracks and offices, according to local media.
The construction of the new city will start in two years, architect Mityo Videlov with Bulgaria's Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, said.
